Christopher Hopes That Readers . . .

Christopher hopes

What does Christopher hope readers will take away from To Sleep in a Sea of Stars? A sense of awe and wonder, a sense of adventure, a sense of language, a sense of the weirdness of life, a sense of movement and immensity, and satisfaction at the end of the book.

He poured his heart and soul into this novel, as he does with all of his books, but especially this one. And if he’s able to convey any of the things he felt when thinking about the story, he thinks readers will be very happy and he will be very happy. When he thinks about looking up at the stars, traveling out in the galaxy, and figuring out our role as a species—as humans—in this universe, in this galaxy, it gives him tingles down his spine. And if he can give those tingles to you, the reader, he’ll be very happy.
