Christopher’s Collection of Fantastical Beasts

Approaching Christopher’s office is akin to venturing into the dwelling of fantastical beasts. A mounted dragon head guards the door, behind which reside replicas of the behemoths, holding lamps, guarding time, and supporting tables. A vast army of eggs and figurines stare at visitors from the shelves and walls.

Christopher curated the assortment of fantastical beasts for over a decade, and the memories behind each are as diverse as the collection itself. A laser-etched dragon set within a Lucite block, given to him by his grandmother, sits alongside a fearsome green statue from actor Harve Presnell. Nearby, a gargoyle-like red sculpture, acquired at the Quill Awards, lurks menacingly.

The remaining items, including a hand-painted ostrich egg and a glass-blown Saphira, came from readers around the globe. Each cherished piece acts as a physical manifestation of those who have enjoyed the Inheritance Cycle and hold a permanent place in Christopher’s home.
